2007 launch

The 2007 launch for the Big Little Fruit Campaign was at Food at The Fringe, a food festival in Victoria Park, Newbury on 27 May. The first fruits of 2007 - some unripe 'Careless' gooseberries - were plucked especially from a Berkshire bush. These green taste-bombs were used in a specially-designed recipe at Debbie Hearn's cookery demonstration: Drop scones with gooseberry and elderflower syrup, topped with whipped Guernsey cream. Just the thing to dispel the gloom of a drenched Sunday!
