role of the media "The campaign is mainly composed of voluntary work, as I field
emails from fruit-lovers and liaise with other interested parties. However, my
paid media work is making a major contribution to its success and editors and
producers often appreciate, not only my knowledge of fruit varieties, but also
my interaction with the public. People increasingly approach me with stories and
concerns about our heritage of fruit, and would, in many cases, welcome
coverage.”
